The Clause 49 is basically a match maker between a director aspirant and the corporate. The listing facilities provided on this online service gives an opportunity to the prospective director to register all the relevant personal details with major emphasis on qualification, experience, expertise in the relevant field.

The registration once recieved is screened by the professional screening committee and the details thereafter are put before the selection board headed by Mr. G.P. Gupta, former chairman of IDBI. The selection board based on certain predefined criterion then clears the registration for final listing to be showcased for the corporates. In case the selection board so desires, the candidate can be invited for personal interview or details may be sought through e-mail. The corporates have facility to make a search for required Directorship candidates by various search modes viz. age group wise, Qualification wise, experience wise (no. of years), experience description wise etc.

The corporates can view the entire listing without the identifications and can short list the required number of candidates, whose detailed resume including identification can be dowloaded based on their eligibilty under the specified subscription scheme viz. silver (25 resume), gold (50 resume) and platinum (100 resume).

The corporate can either interview the candidates directly or may ask the clause 49 selection board to do the same for them. The job of detailed verification of the contents provided by the candidates rests with the corporate, clause 49 team however, makes only random checks.
